WHY IS THIS INFORMATION IMPORTANT?
This page will tell you everything that you need to know about the Acura MDX. Buying a vehicle is a huge accomplishment and a huge financial outlay. We want you to have as much information as possible, so that you can make the best decision for you.
The Dodge Durango is a mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Dodge. The first two generations were very similar in that both were based on the Dodge Dakota and Ram Pickup, both featured a body-on-frame construction and both were produced at the Newark Assembly Plant in Newark, Delaware.
The third-generation Durango is built on the same platform as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, features unibody construction, and has been assembled at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan, since late 2010. It is currently the only SUV built by Dodge since the discontinuation of the Dodge Journey as part of Dodge’s move to a performance-focused brand.

What the critics have to say…
Few three-row SUVs ooze machismo in the same way the 2022 Dodge Durango. Its optional V-8 engine gives it the muscle to back up its image. A V-6 is standard but it, too, offers decent power, and the Durango boasts a towing capacity higher than most rivals.

HOW DOES IT DRIVE?
The Durango SRT, which is what we tested, is a testament to Dodge’s commitment to performance. The engine is powerful, accelerating this 5,500-pound behemoth effortlessly to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Yet the Durango is also well mannered in everyday driving. Braking performance is strong and smooth.

IS IT RELIABLE AND HIGH QUALITY?
Is the Dodge Durango Reliable?
The 2022 Dodge Durango has a predicted reliability score of 81 out of 100. A J.D. Power predicted reliability score of 91-100 is considered the Best, 81-90 is Great, 70-80 is Average, and 0-69 is Fair and considered below average.
Dodge Durango Warranty
Dodge covers the 2022 Durango with a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
HOW COMFORTABLE IS IT?
The seats in the Durango for all positions are roomy and comfortable. The first and second rows offer a good amount of legroom, while the third row can easily hold larger kids. The climate control works well with adequate airflow for all three rows.
Edmunds
WHAT IS THE INTERIOR LIKE?
Every manufacturer uses a combination of materials that range from cheap to high quality, but some designs such as the Durango’s are better executed than others. Designers prioritized ergonomics, material quality, and overall comfort, but other rivals offer more second- and third-row passenger space.

WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY LIKE?
The Uconnect 4C interface on the 8.4-inch screen, while feeling a bit dated, is user-friendly and syncs up well with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration systems. If you can get the new 10.1-inch screen, which has Chrysler/Dodge’s latest infotainment software and features. There are plenty of USB and 12-volt charging options for passengers in all positions.
Edmunds
WHAT IS THE CARGO SPACE LIKE?
We were able to fit 30 carry-on suitcases inside the Durango’s cabin with all of its seats folded flat, but we only fit four behind the third row with all seats in place. That’s two more than the Acadia managed in both measurements.

IS THIS VEHICLE A GOOD VALUE?
What do you want in your SUV? That’s what you’ll have to ask yourself to define value. If you want luxury and comfort, look elsewhere because that is not what this SUV is about. The interior looks and feels a bit low-buck. But you certainly get your money’s worth in performance. Dodge lines up with the rest of the class in warranty and roadside assistance coverage.
Edmunds
IS THE Durango A GOOD SUV?
The 2022 Dodge Durango is a great choice for some shoppers and an iffy choice for others. The Durango has a spacious and upscale interior with room for seven. It features an easy-to-use infotainment system, and its lineup of six- and eight-cylinder engines truly brings the heat. The Durango also boasts the highest towing capacity in this class by a wide margin.

SHOULD I BUY THE Durango?
You should consider the 2022 Dodge Durango if you want an SUV for shuttling your family around on weekdays and towing your boat on weekends. The Durango is nearly unrivaled in the midsize SUV class when it comes to towing and hauling ability. On the other hand, if you don’t need as much of a workhorse, you’ll find more fuel-efficient and better driving companions in the shape of the Kia Telluride, Honda Pilot, or Toyota Highlander.

THE FINAL WORD
For towing and hauling the Dodge Durango is nearly unrivalled. If you want fuel efficiency then there are much better choices.
